TRIUMPH 1947 ROADSTER AT WINDSOR GRENADIER GUARDS REUNION

It is very difficult to write a lot about this event unless you or someone near or dear to you was deeply involved with, or in the, Grenadier Guards.
However, after two very successful years at Windsor Racecourse, the Annual Grenadier Guards Reunion was held at Victoria Barracks, Windsor on the 11th

July 2004 It was a rather dull and gloomy day. The event was no different. The number of cars was few, as were the punters. I am not sure if our presence made any difference to the success or failure of this event. My 1947 1800 Triumph Roadster was kept company by Keith Tann's 2000 Roadster. Chris. Hewett's Triumph Renown was there. There were some Triumph Mayflowers, and a sprinkling of others.
There was a variety of up-market stalls. The Brass Bands were making the expected noise.
After a quick whizz round the stalls and the purchase of a jar of preserve , we went for a long walk along the river followed by a superb Sunday Lunch at Browns.
Then, another long walk and a look around the Town.
We returned to our car and took Tea...in our car.

Shortly afterwards we returned home.
A memoral day indeed.
